DCI Show Review!

Yay! So I just got back from the DCI show! Very fun, very exciting. I got to see JACKUMS! (yay!)
AND, I got to see Mad-Chan! That's good. She's never home anymore. *pout*

So so so. The show. (I will upload pics later!)
Very good all in all! And.... BD WON! And I won't bite my tongue, we crushed SCV! lol

Ok, show by show:
BDC: Classicool.
So cute! They were so short! It's nice to see the young enthusiasm, especially knowing that they can't place anything but last. It's awesome. Plus, look at the following BD has to need a C corps. ^^ It was an adorable show. Lots of familiar pieces. (although Mad says the shortie trumpet kid kicked Michael Ellito just cause. Can't be true! He was too cute!)

SCVC: Their uniforms made me think of pizza boxes. ^^ But, they were quite good. I was RATHER impressed with their musicality. Even if their lines were off... that hurt them. PLUS, the show was Moulin Rouge! Very emotional. I got chills.

BDB: Great show. Lots of block formations. But, the formations, all in all, were REALLY GOOD. I think I only noticed someone off once. It was a Tuba. (hehe) And I liked the music. Madi's solos were great, and I liked their long strings of 16th notes. ^_^

~
Mandarin: I LIKED them! They got last. I really did like them a lot. AND, their burnt orange uniforms. I thought their show was really good and it impressed me. Go figur.

Troopers: Very military looking! Cross between sailors, cowboys, and military school brats. It was a cool look overall. Their drum major's outfit was bomb. Their show was pretty good too (although Mandarin's held my interest more). Plus, some of their formations were awesome. Especially the creepy one that looked like a third eye. It was trippy I tell you. There were plenty of places where they were off the lines, but when they were on, OH, WERE THEY ON! It looked great most of the time.

Blue Knights: I ALSO really liked them. A lot. Their theme was Shiver (winter in Colorado). Which was kind of cool because it had that home feel. (although sometimes Denver winter sounded depressing and hopeless. And other times it sounded like a scene from Narnia). They were very good. I liked their formations. I was impressed.

Blue Coats: SPARKLY! That's all I can really say. WOW, were they sparkly. April would have a field day. They were very good technically and musically. All in all, a powerhouse. But I found the show a little cheesy. (*flag* IDEA!) Weird...
PLUS, people booed them. WHY?!?!!?

SCV (VanGuard): SIMPLE GIFTS?!!! WHY?!??!! However, I was rather impressed by them. They're not well-renowned current champion title holders for nothing. Their colorguard was incredible. Heck, the band was too. Very good all in all. One rifle drop (I think everyone had one of those) And the ending was... WOW. Chill-worthy. Very loud and dramatic. The whole crowd got on their feet and cheered. BUT, it wasn't over! It got very quiet and pretty at the end, with the cool stretching line formation. Also, their show has the chill moment of silence... which some guy ruined by shouting "VANGUARD!" lol.

BDA: Whoot! Although some of the music made me think of the 20s not the 30s... it was played very well! Plus, the chairs were a nice element. They moved ALL OVER THE PLACE. It was wicked. And some of the positions the colorguard held up there... WOW. They definately saved the best for last, and for first place. They were the group I was most excited to see, and they didn't let me down. (and the sailor suit guard uniforms were adorable!) Great musicality, some wickedly fast parts that fit together perfectly, and awesome visuals. Whoot!

*sigh* yAY! I got it all out. And now, my fan is making me cold. I bid thee all, night night!
(and by all, I mean the wonderful and beautiful, MARIN!)

Announcments

As you can see, YouTube has arrived! Yes, you can watch Jory Caron! (and supposedly Fred... but I can't seem to work that out yet...) So check it out!

Also, comments are here! Leave me one!

In college news... Lewis and Clark is quickly failing. According to Princeton, it's the NUMBER ONE Least Religious Students. Not that there's anything really wrong with that, but I AM pretty religious, and I don't want to be surrounded by a bunch of Parkers I have to defend myself to... (or the mean people on Yahoo! Answers!)

And Seattle Pacific is Methodist... not quite sure what that is. I think it may be a little different then I want though...

Um... I am now the last one awake. AGAIN. *sigh* Soooooo boooooooored.

DCI TO-MOR-ROW! wootay!

Summary of Story

Here we go: (it's very sketchy)

MC is a female, 18ish, named Natalie. She comes from a wealthy family, and has been betrothed to business partner of the family and rich banker, Lord Robertson. He, after courting her for a year or so now, said he has some business abroad to attend to, then he will 'call for her' (they will be married and she'll start a new life as a housewife etc.)

She grows to truly despise this man. So much in fact that, after a loud and violent verbal fight, she wants VERY MUCH to kill him. He leaves her on the porch and doesn't return (she sits for hours until it gets dark, and her car comes for her). As she sits, she imagines killing him so vividly that, by the time she leaves, she has convinced herself that she HAS killed him.

The secret of her murder weighs heavily on her mind, and she becomes unresponsive, too afraid that she will tell someone her secret. She spends her time staring out the window, or at the wall etc.

Her caretaker, older cousin named ???, decides to take her to a new setting, a big fat house in the country belonging to a family friend. She is forced to open up a LITTLE as she is being watched carefully. But she still spends time staring at the wall and such.

Now, there are several butlers maids etc in this house. Enter love interest, Charles. A young boy her age who lives and works there under the orders of HIS caretaker, his elderly, mean, aging aunt Pinkett. They have a few encounters, and he has fun teasing her, especially about Lord Robertson, ten years her senior. Then one day he, teasingly he thought, whispers her secret. (You killed him, didn't you?) Of course, he is shocked to find this to be true. But, for some reason, he doesn't tell. He finds enjoyment in holding it over her head. Eventually, he blackmails her into doing work for him, and taking the blame for things he can now do wrong.

STUFF HAPPENS (middle story stuff. Relationships etc. Her cousin and the family friend set up tea parties for her with the local girls, Charles and Natalie become more like grudging friends).

One night, she accompanies Charles to Mrs. Pinkett's house, where she is oddly quiet and reserved (well, odd in front of HIM by this point). She is rather mean and verbally abusive to Charles, and less than cordial to Natalie. Somehow, need to work out some stuff, she snaps and kills Pinkett. Charles is shocked. She said it was easy, seeing as she's killed before, to kill again.

Shocked, but trying to protect her, he helps her bury the body in the woods about a mile away. They leave a little shaken.

Their relationship continues to develop to the point where, somehow, they're making out heavily and on the verge of doing "it."

Natalie's cousin and host catch them in the room. Charles is immediately fired and banished from the town (because the friend is the mayor). Natalie becomes weird and cold, does not defend him, and tells lies as they're questioning the pair. Charles shouts out that she killed Lord Robertson.

He leaves without another word.

Two weeks later, Natalie marches herself down to the police office and turns herself in for murdering Lord Robertson. Her cousin and the mayor rush out to see why she did this, when she informs them of her secret. The town is shocked, and there is no real proof, but they have no choice but to put her on trial. Where, she sings like a bird about how she killed him, when, and where she put the body.

Suddenly, the doors to the courtroom fly open, and in enters Lord Robertson. He says: "I come to call upon my future wife, and yet I find her on trial for my murder..."

Natalie, still insisting that she killed him, is pronounced, after a visit to the psychiatrist, mentally unstable. Lord Robertson immdiately rejects the idea of their matrimony, and leaves her there. The judge asks who will be her gaurdian, or if she needed to go to an institution to be cared for.

Suddenly, Charles arrives through the door, and announces that he will care for her. (He had managed to take the money he had inherited from Mrs. Pinkett and get rent going in a small flat in a town about sixty mile away. He works in the shop downstairs.

Her cousin is more than happy to give her over to the boy he kicked out of his house. He wants nothing to do with her and her lunatic mind. His job was to care for her until she was old enough to be presented to Lord Robertson. He did his job. Robertson's declination was not his problem.

Charles and Natalie leave the town immediately by carriage. He has her belongings.

She will be able to live a relatively normal, if poorer, life with him. Although her mind IS unstable and she has slip-ups, as is seen with her question about visiting Mrs. Pinkett as they ride out of town. (which is the end of the story).

What do you think?

They always come in threes...

Why is it that I've never heard of this? Who were the two that died with Heath Ledger?! (who, until he died, I thought was named Keith Ledger).

So, yes. Apparently celebrities always die in threes. And today ends another set. We have Farrah Fawcett, of Charlie's Angels fame, and MJ! As much as he freaked me out, it's weird to see a legend die. He was the king of Pop. I guess everyone dies though ('cept Elvis. AND, conspiracy theories are already popping up about Michael Jackson, saying he faked his death to escape debt and the media etc. lame!). But he was so young. 50! Still... he did so much. .. crud... that it's not surprising.

And, who's the third? Ed McMahon! HOW CAN HE DIE?!! He's almost more upsetting than MJ. (He was the guy on the tonight show that said: Heeeeeeeeeeeere's JOHNNY!) He was a legend! And funny! *cry* He died a couple of days ago I guess. It's so sad! Now him AND Johnny are gone.

(I'm chatting with Daniel at the moment. It makes a weird POP noise when he responds. lol)
(no wait, he's gone)

Hmmmm humdee doooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

College search still in back of mind. It's killing me! Liking Lewis and Clark again. Portland would be a nice place. Kind of far.
I really don't want to go that far away. I want to move on my own, but I also want to be able to come home and visit. Plus, I LOVE California. Portland is only slightly ok because my Aunt and Cousins live around Salem. (plus, it's the school Krissie's trying to get into).

I want to know if Rynna finished reading my novel! Mom says they were going somewhere though... so I can't go down and ask. But if I miss my chance, she'll be gone for another week. PLUS, we still have unfinished phonebook business! (and are looking for that second phonebook. ...*prod prod*)

I watched Live Time with Jon and Jory tonight. On UStream. It's kind of cool because it's one of those live shows where there's a chat box that they can see. (but, with 545 viewers, one gets overlooked). It was interesting. Everyone in the chat box was talking about MJ and people were all: SHUT UP! lol.

So, they always come in threes. And so will my blogs today. Stay tuned (my one-person audience) for a summary of my new story endeavor (not really an endeavor... more of a working in my mind. Has potential though...

College Headaches

So yeah... I'm starting to realize more and more how close the decision is coming. We have to start applying in November. It's a scary scary thought. And then, by MayFirstish, we have to select a place based on those who accpeted us. It's very very scary!

And, I'm starting to realize our severe lack of money. A lot. I mean, we might have to get rid of cellphones, cable, internet (NO! I will fight!) I lot of stuff. We're not doing too well I guess.

{Oh my... just flashed on my television screen... Farrah Faucet died today of cancer at 62... how sad...}

Anyways, about college, I definately have to be open to state schools as well. Because, and it scares me, I'm afraid of them giving me a full ride. (what a thing to be scared of eh?) Because I'm afraid if they give me a full ride, I won't be allowed to go to another school that might cost a little. *sighs* The only two that seem nice is Long Beach (the weather baby!) and SAC State. My UC of choice is definately Davis. I love the idea of going there SO MUCH! I keep looking at it. It fits me so well. That's my dream college. (However, I wonder how much money UCs give...)

Private schools I like are Seattle Pacific and USC. (subject to change I guess)
Lewis and Clark is nice too...

*sigh* COLLEGE SEARCH WILL BE THE DEATH OF ME! I just want to know!
I especially want to know about scholarships like FAFSA.

I wonder if I won that Save Me A Spot in College competition. I think it announces the winner in July...

I wonder if I should check my email...

Stupidest Endeavor Ever

Today, we walked for 90 minutes in the sweltering heat. Around Mickey Cox and back. It hurt SO. BAD. Flames... flames... on the side of my face...

Feet burn. Hands burn. Part burn. Face heat. Hot. Sad. Cry.

Die.

So there HA HA HA

If I want to be a poster than I will post my post...

ON YOUR FACE!

Solitaire

Is for felons!

Title Yo (Check it)

I am watching Workeiser... oh hoho... I so spelt his name wrong.

I seem to marvel at the idea, as Rin said, that I am a blog genius... or was is that blogging comes naturally... period period period... I can't remember.

So, I tried working out. Really I did. 15 minute workouts are the same as 30 minute ones right? I should think so. Both make one sweaty and sad (incidentally, not a fun combination)

How does combination shorten to combo? Why isn't it combonation then? WHY? English is so confusing. It makes no sense. It's almost as if someone said: I don't want it to be the letter "o" How about the letter "i"? And everyone else was like: Ok dokie artichokie. (my grandma says that. ^^)

Verizon just made a "Don't be afraid of 3G Dead Zones" commercial. LAMEZOID!

So, anyway, this one time at band camp we were all at Red Robin and I was thinking to myself in my head and suddenly voiced my random thought to the confusion of everyone at the table. Then they all looked at me and said "This one time at band camp..."
Then they laughed. *cry* True story right there. It would make a great motion picture.

I think ma mere est ici. Hoorrah! Au Revoir ma amie!

Straws and Blogging.

I'm chewing on a straw right now. From a Capri Sun. Cause... what else am I to do with it? Throw it away? That involves getting off of my toosh! Tush? How do you spell tuush?

Carly doesn't like sass. lol. (I'm watching iCarly from my cozy jail cell. It's true yo. I have proof)
She's bold but not sassy. *nods*

sigh sigh sigh. The ninjas are misbehaving again. I have to go and kick them into line.
Line ninjas! Not circles! Now is not the time to be playing Duck Duck KABOOM YOU DEAD!
Have you been talking to Achmed again! His antics got him killed. That's why he's the DEAD terroist. DUH!

Still chewing on that straw...

I wonder if they will publish this blog someday as a piece of comedy genius. I doubt it. haha. But I know I made you smile. It's just the natural order of things. I'm funny, you smile. The end.

You all know what oxymorons are, such as Jumbo Shrimp or Smart Cookie (cause we all know muffins are far more, intellectually superior to the average joe shmo cookie) I have found the impossible. An oxymoron located in one word.

Reality TV. (see, TV doesn't count. But reality is an oxymoron in this situation because those shows are anything but). And yet I still watch. Why? I think it stems from my need to laugh at people putting themselves in such ridiculous situation. Like the Bachelorette. Stupidest one yet! (I hope she picks Kiptyn)

Oh! That teacher on iCarly just used bad grammar. It's Spencer and I! Not me! And you call yourself a teacher!

Straw abandoned... and so is this blog.

Picture and Vid (in the singulaire)

Coco My Doggy! Check it!

She's amazing! Ze bes dog ever! And I love love love her!

Hehe... kicking cards is fun! Yo!

So, whilst I wait for this video to upload, I should try to be philospohical.

People are like bricks.

We don't like to be moved. And we're all holding each other up. Especially those on the bottom (because someone has to be the garbage man) but not those on top ('cause rich people just laze around and step on people) Plus, sometimes we turn red. And are rectangulaire.

First Entry EVAH!

And it shall be short and lame.

For such is the way of things.
*nods sadly*

Get over it.
